TALES OF ODYSSEY

Ocean Loving Storyteller, Advocate and Expedition Host

WHO IS TALES OF ODYSSEY?

My name is Ráchelle, and Tales of Odyssey is my way of exploring and sharing the ocean through storytelling.

I started out creating travel content, chasing places and experiences around the world, always drawn to wild and natural spaces. But everything shifted when I fell madly in love with the ocean. Being underwater changed the way I see nature, adventure, and my own role as a storyteller.

I am a storyteller, diver, and ocean lover, not a marine biologist or lifelong ocean expert. My journey into the underwater world is still relatively recent, and that perspective shapes the stories I tell. I approach the ocean with curiosity, humility, and a sense of wonder.

Today, I use my platforms to share both the beauty of the ocean and the challenges it faces. Telling stories that invite connection, understanding, and care. While also highlighting the human stories that shape our relationship with the natural world.

Tales of Odyssey is an invitation to explore that journey with me.

INSIDE THE DIVE CENTER CHANGING MOZAMBIQUE’S FUTURE.

As the first fully Mozambican-owned and operated dive centre, Maputo Dive Center is creating new pathways into the ocean. Through their Zero to Hero program, marine biology students become scientific divers while local Mozambicans train as future dive professionals.

In collaboration with PADI AWARE Foundation and Maputo Dive Centre, I set out to document the people and purpose behind their Zero to Hero program, capturing how they are building a new generation of ocean professionals in Mozambique.
